Full-Day Franschhoek Wine Tram Tour from Cape Town

79 reviews
With three centuries of wine-growing heritage, the Franschhoek Valley is one of the Cape’s top wine areas—and the Franschhoek Wine Tram, a vintage-style tram, is the perfect way to explore. Travel in air-conditioned comfort from downtown Cape Town, then choose between the purple and orange lines. Besides an onboard wine tasting and narration, you have time to visit multiple estates on one of two lines.

Tucked away in Salt River, Cape Town lies this gin haven. Hope distillery is home to multiple craft gins in South Africa. Only open on Saturday's make sure to book before going and their cheeseboard is divine. Make sure to pop over for a tasting & pet Mr Scruff!

Just spent an awesome evening with Lucy, Leigh and dinner guests. Food was stunning, thanks Emily. Gin, of course, was amazing as always. Each course served with a wonderful Leigh inspired drink. If in Cape Town you must call in here. Exceptional hosts. Highly recommended. Thank you guys.

My friends and I came to do our very first Gin tasting and we loved it. The scenery is very authentic and we absolutely loved the variations of Gin's on display. I would recommend to book in advance but, luckily we got a seating! Definitely a must!

Visited H on H on the weekend after landing in CT. Great value tasting (R150 for 4 gins) with expert guidance along the way. Highly recommend the Salt River Gin for R380 for a 750ml bottle. Was here by myself however it would be excellent with a group of mates in the afternoon.

We visited for one of their weekly Saturday afternoon gin tasting sessions. We made a reservation, and you should too! Excellent choice. Learned so much about the booming craft distillery wave that's hit Cape Town, and learned even more about the uniqueness of South African spirits due to the fynbos (i.e the local flora). The staff helped us learn all about gin during the tasting, and we loved everything we had. The team there is really sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable. And the space itself is gorgeous. A great Saturday afternoon spent. We also LOVED all of their products, and loved a few so much that we purchased several bottles and lugged them 9,000 miles in our checked baggage to give as gifts. Highly recommend you visit when in Cape Town.
