Greted vey friendly and helpful. Ordered a bottle of Malbec 2019, as well as cheese platter. Both at R120 a piece. Cheese from Dalewood always a winner. Malbec was average in comparison to other farms'.
Girls working at the tasting room all besutiful and friendly, but forgot to ask once if all was good.
Will do proper wine tasting next time

Knowledgeable, very friendly service + Great wines + Beautiful surroundings. Add to that a beautiful autumn day. Definitely worth visiting!
We loved all the wines we tasted - it was difficult to choose what to buy! Lovely cheeses on their cheese platter and we could order soft drinks for our teenagers.

I booked lunch at the Restaurant for our large group celebrating a birthday. We started at the wine tasting half an hour prior to lunch time and so enjoyed the tasting (relaxed atmosphere and knowledgable staff) that we ended up late to lunch. Despite being a little worried that we might encounter a frosty reception at the restaurant for all pitching up 40 minutes late but, I'm happy to report, there was no such response! The staff are generally methodical and reserved - allowing us to thoroughly enjoy ourselves without needing to follow up on orders etc. Having completed a thorough wine tasting we all knew exactly what to order (Chardonnay Reserve is outstanding!) to compliment out meals.
The majority decided on the tapas which was presented to each person on a "cheese board". The tapas was truely amazing. Very enjoyable, varied, well presented and carefully considered. I will be back just for the tapas & chardonnay! Although I'm now keen to try out their set-menus...
I highly recommend Diemersdal! It's rather hidden in the Durbanville wine region and that makes it all the more enjoyable. A lovely lunch stop and excellent wines. I'm delighted to find this calibre of wine farm in my home town.

Had a wine and snacks with friends at the winery. Very good setting and the wine is excellent. Try the Sauvignon blanc or Shiraz.

We love Diemersdal. We always leave feeling happy, sated and lucky to live near such a great wine farm. The views are spectacular and the wine tasting area extends to an outdoor patio which is lovely in the warm weather. The wines are all beautiful and the entry level sauv blanc is so well priced for the quality of wine. Had to buy a couple bottles this trip.
I highly recommend Diemersdal (and the restaurant even more highly - but I shall save that review for the restaurant itself)!

This is really a hidden gem in the Durbanville vineyards! R25 per tasting and when purchasing wine over the price of R100 the tasting is for free.
Very knowledgeable team and super friendly and bubbly.
Nicely shaded areas with beautiful views. This is by far one of my favorite vineyards.
Also the Cheese and meat platter is really lovely and good value at R160 and is more than enough for 4 people. Absolutely delicious!
Do yourself a favor and go there!!!

Diemersdal Restaurant opened recently, and we had lunch there on Saturday, end of October. A table was set up for us outside in the shade (it was very hot). The menu is not extensive yet, but we ordered two Tapas Platters and some lovely 2012 Sauvignon Blanc. The platters were out of the world - something really different. Things like Pork Belly pieces were on there, and lots of nice bread. There is always a cheese platter available, and everyday there is a different "plat de jour".
Well worth a visir, and on a really nice historic farm.

Had a great tasting there! DID wish, though, that some of the wines were chilled a little more. Tasted even better once chilled to icy at home! Lovely homestead with beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback's wandering around. Lovely.

I have been to Diemersdal for many wine tastings.
Everytime the wine was super and affordable. I just love the atmosphere and of course the wine, my favourite the wooded Chardonnay.
The last tasting we were there was exceptional. Our wine steward, Marco, knew his wine and answer questions. So friendly and polite showing a passion for his job. What an assit he is for the farm!
I will be back!

Christmas lunch at Diemersdal was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious with each of the five courses beautifully presented and full of delightful surprises. Fine dining in a relaxed and friendly restaurant in a very picturesque setting.
