Beautiful view over the city. Walk up early in the morning or late in the afternoon to catch the sunrise/-set. Or.. Go explore! There are plenty of paths that will take you on an adventure in the area around the mountain.

Lions Head is a fantastic hike and offers incredible views of Cape Town and Table Mountain. It's a very difficult hike but perhaps there are easier ways to see it! Fantastic Views of Camps Bay and all the beaches along the coast. Robben Island looks...More

We took an Uber to the gateway and walked/jogged up. It is breathtaking after a 100m and keeps getting better. It is a bit steep some places and you might slide a bit (rubber soles is important!), but I´ll go/jog/crawl/be transported up here on every...More

It's a one of most famous landmarks of Cape Town, good to see from distance it if one wishes, to climb. View from the top are really amazing providing there no clouds.

The hike up all the way to the top of Lion's Head is a must! It's a pretty easy hike except the last leg which does need a bit of scrambling up with ladders and foothold, but I thought it was the best part of...More

I would advise walking up with a friend, preferably not alone as there have been some small muggings at dark in the past. You should be more than fine though. It is a beautiful walk and would highly recommend it. A guide is... More

Hi The best option is to start at the parking area on Signal Hill road - access by car / taxi - the parking area is monitored and there are security patrols in the 'park' area which has trails that will take you to the base... More
