You can walkon your own and just enjoy the amazing views. Although it is quite steep, it is really worth to climb up to see all the city.

This old and original town sector has been recently upgraded and houses are now being painted in bright colours. A contract with the new developments in the new city centre.

Really amazing area, a real melting pot. Disappointing that our guide took us on Friday lunchtime when everything was closed.

Bo kaap is a place you have to see. Try to find a gap, wehre no Tourist Bus is around. Then the place is crowded.Go in the evening.

This area is very large but the tourist part is quite compact, the part with all the colourful buildings Great views across the city when you climb into the more residential areas

A neat piece of Capetown history. The colorful houses make for a good photo-op and the surrounding area has some neat shops.

Bo-Kaap is not that colorful in reality as it shows on the photos. It is a short street crossing with another one, full of cars that unable to take nice shots of this part of the city. Definitely not a must-see.

We visited Bo-kaap on a Free Walking Tour. Photo ops were difficult because of the streets jammed with vehicles, but we enjoyed learning about the history of the area.

Would suggest that a take a slow drive through the neighbourhood first. Then you park at Wale Street and take some pics nearby of the picturesque homes.
