Went to fourth beach on a December weekend: we arrived early and there was plenty of parking available (with the expected car guards in place). A nice beach with lovely white sand and plenty of sun beds and parasols being offered. We paid R160 but heard another couple getting for R140. You can probably get them cheaper but either way,... We loved the time we spent at Clifton beach, much more local than Camps Bay, more sheltered from the wind. No so many restaurants and bar but if you just want a beach this is it.

40R for a parasol is not a rip-off if you are a foreigner on a Cape Town beach after 10 minutes in the frying sun! Shade was SO good :) and I enjoyed this tucked away beach a lot!

The Clifton Beaches are wonderful to visit. You need to be athletic but once on the beach, you are treated to such beautiful vistas that it is worth the effort. Each beach has its merits...I prefer the fourth beach...

your feet squeak in the sand its so white, clean and soft. Go down a little later in the afternoon when the real locals pop down, like 3 / 4 pm and get a good afternoon back. Finish that off with a breathtaking sunset that Cape Town is famous for.

This is really a worthwhile stop. Sparkling water, soft sand, sun and surf. Beautiful beach, without a doubt.

My favourite beach in Cape Town. Water is freezing but the setting is stunning. Full of locals as well as tourists
