We were in the area and so drove here. It was quite rainy so no other visitors at the memorial itself so no problem at all to park - free. It is within a large park. Pretty sure this is not somewhere you would go...More

As a tourist to Cape town, there a certain not-to-be-missed sites. Rhodes Memorial isn't one of them. The memorial is quite impressive and so is the view. The restaurant is worth a visit if you're hungry. Nothing special. Visit RM if you have the time...More

I took my kids to visit the memorial on a Sunday afternoon and was very dissapointed. The protesting students have rubbed excrement and graffitti all over the place, they are aggressive and unpleasant and there are way to many drunk people there. No security at...More

This is prime location to view the city. Cute cafe on the backside of Rhodes memorial where one can enjoy a beverage or two. We did not go with a guide, but drove ourselves.

Enjoy a lovely walk or tea at the restaurant. Beautiful views of Cape Town abound.There are also lovely walking and mountain biking trails.

This monument was part of our city walking tour and company gardens tour. Our guide told us the history of Rhodes which was very interesting in relation to the history of South African people.

Great Spot to to go look at some of the Country's History. There are some placed to eat. Very sad to see the damage done to the memorial by protested.
