My family and i just got back from Cape Town and we absolutely loved the Waterfront. I disagree with all the negative comments about it. We had a great time eating out there, all the restaurants had such great views and phenomenal service, the staff...More

Caveat: We liked the V&A waterfront, it does have a lot to offer, see, taste and photograph but its area is quite small and much there is expensive and overpriced. The setting below Table Mountain makes this place iconic and world-class. However, its smaller than...More

When you first arrive st waterfront you have the sense that you are in Amsterdam. But that quickly changes as you explore this place. The food the music the view altogether is a perfect combination!!! Surely one of the must see destinations in Cape Town!

This is the main tourist area in Cape Town. High end shops, all sorts of restaurants, fast food, street entertainment, handcrafts shopping and a ferris wheel. Right on an old dock area. Absolutely go to see this lively site.

This is the most touristic and boring part of cape town. Average American shops and unexciting/ overpriced restaurants. Worst place to hang out in such a vibrant city.

Yes there are lovely hotels on the waterfront and short cruises can be taken. There are also cruise ships that stop at Cape Town as on of their ports.
