Though the beach is still popular, the elegant splendor that once graced this seaside resort community barely shows through the paved-over streets, fast-food eateries and shopping centers.

Really good cultural experience and nice to take pictures by the colourful wendy houses, but, its not the greatest beach around. Surfing is popular here, but if you want to tan, and enjoy, rather head to Clifton or Camps Bay.

This beach is best known for the colorful houses but it is also a great spot for surfers. There are some great restaurants nearby.

This beach is where you will encounter a myriad of cultures, races, religions all surfing and hanging out together. Some of the other popular beaches around Cape Town seem to be popular with one or other group. Muizemberg attracts everybody regardless of class, race or...More

Muizenburg beach and the surrounding restaurants are a good place to visit. The beach is clean and is very popular. We even tried a surfing lesson which was great fun.

Whatever you do when visiting this beach or any other for that matter, do not walk beyond the huts or any isolated part of the beach. Stay in areas with people. We were held by knifepoint at muizenburg beach on 30Aug at 11:20am. By the...More

Bright coloured huts which were once change rooms but now lie empty. Beautiful pictures can be taken here - the colours compliment the blue sea!

Nice beach, not so full as well so it was great. Whatever you do not drink at the beach or you will be in big trouble with the law. The rainbow colour huts where also a great site.

The other bus company Golden Arrow might go that way. There is always the train but only if you’re adventurous as it is apparently dangerous.

Yes it is but park as close as possible to the beach where there are “car guards” who are reliable.
