Lovely fish markets surrounding, I was too full to try out the homey braaied fish but it sure smelled great and will be back to try it. There was an array of boats old and new and great scenery for pictures.

Maybe our expectations were too high but would happily have skipped Hout bay. The harbour was v smelly and hawkers lined up with their wares. Any seals that appear were lured by guys who expect a small fee if you take a picture. However there...More

Hout Bay is more secluded than the other parts of CT but the market makes it an interesting place to visit. The Chapman Peak drive is usually closed so if one's coming from the south then check ahead of time if you can cross it....More

One of the most beautiful places I have seen. Besides the smell of fish (being a fish harbour), the beach is absolutely breathtaking. Crystal clear flat sea. You may even be lucky to see seals basking about.

We had the freshest fish and chips overlooking this bay, the sun shone and the water rippled. A lady sat feeding a seal who was very friendly to the tourists!

With its quaint little town Centre and amazing array of restaurants, Hout Bay is one of our favourite spots to visit. The Mariners Wharf area littered with curio stalls is cheaper than those you find in Central Cape Town. Not to be missed also is...More

Hout Bay is beautiful and fun to experience to see and drive through. Waiting to go to the seal island we walked around the harbour, not mush to see her. But the men feeding and interacting with the seals on the harbour is great.

Hi. Hout's Bay is some kind of village by the sea. You will definitely then need a car to go to the waterfront and back.
