I contacted the Canal Walk branch and my call was pleasantly and efficiently attended by Alex .Being based in Durban , I had no way of viewing the piece I was looking for my daughters 16th birthday. Alex kindly sent me photos and a video of the "dancing pendants" that she had in-store via WhatsApp. Impressed by one particular piece , she reserved it for me and my sons visited the store that evening and purchased the item.Charlene , the branch manager was very pleasant and very accommodating with a great loyal customer discount . My boys are flying to Durban this evening with the gift for their sister's birthday. PS. this is our 7th purchase , we love the Shimansky pieces for their workmanship and uniqueness. Monaisha and the team at Shaminsky were excellent in their service toward me and my girlfriend Vicky, who was visiting ZA over a period including Feb 14 2020 whilst I was still in the UK. I wanted to send a gift to Vicky so she'd still have some nice memories about the day even though we weren't together. So, off to the internet we go. I looked on several sites and the Shaminsky site was very straight forward, had a varied catalogue and was clearly priced. I selected an item, a lovely pair of diamond studs, and was able to ask if there was a way for them to be delivered to the safari lodge where Vicky was staying. A swift reply from Monaisha stated that arranging delivery would be no problem and she would take care of everything without spoiling what I was hoping to be a nice surprise for Vicky. Monaisha also arranged for me to be able to complete the purchase instantly with PayPal so she could begin arrangements with the safari lodge straight away. The team at Shaminsky took on all of the communications with the lodge to make sure that Vicky got her beautiful surprise diamond earrings in time for Valentine's day, which she was wonderfully happy with and I can't praise them enough for their over and above level of service that has made two people very, very happy. We spent about an hour at the museum and show room with Nadya as our guide. The history of diamond mining in South Africa was very interesting. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to watch the professionals working on the diamonds, which would have been fantastic. We looked around the showroom and Nadya explained about so much of the jewellery that was there. I would recommend a visit, especially if you are thinking of buying any diamond jewellery, you will certainly learn what to look out for. There is no hard sell so no worries there.…
