The urban park was one of the legacy projects of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The area is adjacent to the Cape Town Stadium and has stunning views of both the stadium as well as Signal Hill. Lovely place to bring the kids to excercise or to have a picnic. It is also a learning experience for young and old. The garden is separated into ‘People and Plants’, ‘Wetlands’ and ‘Discovering Biodiversity’. The park hours are from 7 to 7 with visible security.

The Green Point Park and Biodiversity Garden is a lovely green area in the city. Set away from the main road, it is a large green area with trees, recreation areas and lots of spaces to relax and enjoy nature. Lovely

This park is definitely worth a visit, lovely walks and very interesting info on biodiversity. If you have children there are play areas that are age specific and paved walks where they can ride their bike's etc.

Browsing to the indigenous plants is beautiful and interesting. Close to each herbal plant there's an explanation for how it was used by the locals as medicines . It's a fun place for picnics with the family too.
