We went on the American Eagles winelands half day tour. It was very poorly organised. They did not collect us from our hotel until one hour after the pre arranged pick up time. The content of the tour was disappointing and rushed. It was only wine tasting with not enough information about the wines or the wine making process. On... More

We took the evening township tour of Langa with African Eagle and we're so glad we did. We must admit, we were nervous. Langa is these people's home, not a tourist attraction. But to tour the area gives a huge insight into the culture and backbone of this country. We were also pleased to hear some of the fee we... More

I went on the 'Whale tour' and the day went as follows.. A car came to pick me up from my accommodation, earlier than I was told it would. I came down to reception at the time I was told and it had already left. It did come back but I was treated like a child who had made everyone... More

We had booked a safari tour to Inverdoorn with African eagle. Inverdoorn was just amazing - but what a scary drive to get there ! We were picked up at 6:30 at the hotel (with a little delay) & took a (supposed to be panoramic) drive through the mountains. Unfortunately our driver was rushing like hell, we were really scared... During our Cape Town stay my husband and I wanted to visit either Stellenbosch or Franschook to do wine tasting. Our hotel recommended we take a tour with African Eagle and we booked on a half day trip to two vineyards in Stellenbosch. Our tour guide Cornelia was friendly and knowledgeable. The two wine estates we visited were nice, and... More

Very knowledgeable guide Paul shared history, local knowledge and restaurant tips - valuable when staying in Cape Town with so much choice. Nice touch to have a second guide to help some guests with limited English - Marcus... More

Our half day tour took us to 2 wine tastings in the Stellenbosch area. We particularly enjoyed the Marianne Wine Estate. It was lovely weather and we were outside on the patio with a spectacular view of the hillside vineyard! This estate provided the wine and biltong pairing. Our first biltong. We were glad our driver guide included this estate.... More

We booked 3 day tours in Jo burg and transfer to and from the airport in Cape Town with African Eagle. An yes they exceeded our expectations. Our tour guides were TK and Sam for our Jo burg and Pretoria tours. They were punctual, knowledgeable, professional and mannerism wasn't anything we have every experienced in the States. TK and Sam... More
