An amazing building with some fantastic art well displayed. A mix of audio visual, metalwork, stunning use of different media. The Five Bob exhibition of Zimbabwean art took my breath away. Expressions of survival, basic humanity showing through, with glimpses of humour, care and compassion....More

We visited a couple of time during our week in Cape Town. The building is truly amazing. The architecture audio tour is interesting but perhaps some of the technical information would be better on a pamphlet. Some of the art pieces really make an impression...More

I imagine this is a fantastic exhibition of modern / contemporary art - if that is what you like. I personally don't. The museum, however, is a great space and I enjoyed our visit immensely. We read that we could enter the museum for free...More

I'll admit that I reluctantly forked over R90 each to visit. I wanted to see the building, but the admission price seemed high for SA. It's almost as expensive as MOMA in NYC - all for an unknown collection. It's worth the price of admission....More

We attended the Zeitz museum for a class project. I loved the entrance lobby, that looked to me like it came right off the pages of a fantasy novel. Flying from the ceiling hung a dragon and the oval-shaped elevators looked like dragon's eggs. Even...More

This is a stunning building and the self guided tour while a bit verbose gives a good explanation of the work involved in its creation. The modern art was way too out there for us. At least we understood this.

If so you will love this place in the V&A waterfront area in Cape Town- go in the late afternoon and finish with sundowners on the hotel roof terrace

If money is no object go whenever. It is quite expensive £12 depending on exchange rate. The displays are stretched over 5 floors plus roof. One floor was closed. Art is contemporary and some appealed, but that is how art works...right! Interesting if you can...More

Thank you for your feedback. Next time you visit, do try having a drink at the Zeitz MOCAA Food on Level 6 of the museum.

All I can say about this is that should the contents of the building be put in an ordinary hall, no-one would bother taking a look. The building is fantastic, the contents less so.
