You really can’t claim to have visited Cape Town if you don’t drive/walk or ride over Chapman’s peak... It costs a fair toll each way... about Aus$5 Be patient Avoid on windy days

Beautiful drive. There are several places to stop for a picnic. If you're afraid of heigths it might be a little overwhelming since you litreally drive on the edge of the mountain. Also it's often very windy so the picnic might be a cold experience.....but...More
Well worth the effort to take a drive along here - The scenery is breath taking and the road is well maitained
It is a nice drive from Houtbaai down to the Cape. I see no reason why you have to pay coservation fee for the road. Exploiting of tourists.
This is a toll road.. Around 50Zar if I'm not mistaken.. But it is a fabulous drive to hout bay.. Smooth roads.. Lovely scenery.. Excellent points four you to stop and take some breathtaking pictures.. Highly recommended to self drive down this strip..
