A large and very interesting collection of local art as well as some classic installations. There isn't even an admission charge if you'll purchase something at their tea room. Wonderful art, some of the best we've seen while traveling in the country.

Have been before. Very nice museumbut this visit was spoilt by dance group playing loud music and no effort by museum staff to ask them to turn down music. Which I think took away the normal calm atmosphereMore

What a delightful surprise! This museum started with a collection of paintings and sculptures amassed by the early mining magnates and over time morphed into a contemporary exhibit of African artists which is absolutely wonderful. And they have are movies weekly! Don't miss this museum!!
