Took a drive from our game lodge, hoped to do the estuary boat cruise but closed due to wind so drove into the park from St Lucia and went to the end of he road. Had intended to give the park 3 days, one for each of the areas but as usual ran out of time so just saw the... More

Having read over many years about this South African treasure, I finally got to visit on 21 May 2017 with my family. We entered from St Lucia town, but only after being forced to pay cash (no card facilities available for entry to this World Heritage Site), and having it confirmed that our Wild Card was of no use to... Excellent to have a boat tour to see crocodiles, hippos, bull-shark and different birds on the estuary. Game drive in the eastern side between lake and ocean is not providing a lot of sight seeing of animals but we saw a leopard! good surprise!

Thoroughly recommended. Giraffe and rhino seen in the West park; buffalo and many species of antelope seen in the East park; hippo and croc in the estuary.

The evening cruise was a great way to see the hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife in the St. Lucia estuary.

Went for the boat cruise on the estuary. Very enjoyable as we got to see many hippo. Our guide was quite knowledgeable as well. Would visit again.

Plenty of hippos and crocs on the boat cruise was the highlight of the trip, even spotted a Zambezi bull shark. The park is interesting with a nice drive up to Cape Vidal, with enough wildlife to keep you entertained.

I returned to what was previously my favourite game park this past weekend and could not believe how little I saw. Due to the drought they seem to have lost more than half their game. We were advised that 2500 Wildbees had perished for example. We did not see a single rhino despite a four day stay and only saw... More

Very underwhelming. Lack of facilities. Poor signposting. The only saving grace was the spectacular views from the elevated walkway.

We drove for 1 1/2 hr and our guide spotted many animals and birds. His knowledge made or trip exceptional. Dave was from Heritage Tours, which ill review later. We snorkeled on the beach at Cape Vidal, and we're served a great lunch at the beach before heading back. The road in was great with pull offs for viewing. Get... More
