We stayed at the Sudwala Lodge and drove up (thankfully) to the Sudwala Caves in the later afternoon. Although it is only 1.7km away from the Lodge it is a very steep incline and I do not reccomend you walk up unless you are very...More

Thank you for your feedback its important to us that our guests have an excellent experience. The caves are on the side of a mountain so access points are limited. There are two routes to the entrance of the Sudwala Caves. The most direct route...More

I love viting caves all over South Africa and this experience was one of the best. The tour guide was very informative and I loved the idea that you had to crawl (optional) to go through some parts of the cave. This is definitely a...More

Have been to Sudwala many years ago but decided to pay another visit. Interesting to see how it was not as spectacular the second time around! It seemed a little dark and the lighting was not good. Did the tour with the guide which I...More

These caves were a highlight of my early visits to the then eastern Transvaal. Though the province is now known as Mpumalanga the caves are unchanging only very slowly and the stalactites and stalagmites aim downwards and upwards over the centuries. The guided tour is...More

Off the beaten path near Nelspruit, the Sudwala Caves are worth the detour on the way to or from the Escarpment. There is a long drive up the hill to the parking area and then a serious staircase walk up to the cave entrance and...More

Was a good experience, would've enjoyed a little more background/ info on the history of the caves. Maybe a pictorial? The tour guide spoke very fast and we couldn't hear/ understand all he said. The caves are exquisite none the less!

Hi We are 2 adults that intend to visit Sudwala caves and the Dinosaur park. Can you advice how many time should we consider to each one of them?

Hi. Our guided tours leave every 15 minutes and take approximately 45 minutes each. I would allocate 60 minutes for the cave and 30 minutes for the dinosaur park.
