When we decided to make reservations for activities in South Africa we chose The Other Animals Safaris because of the reviews we read online. I emailed Frank and Di and the rest is history! They organized transportation to and from Tambo Airport, multiple safaris, a panoramic tour, and reservations for Chimp Eden. All of our transportation drivers were on time... More

I can honestly say that this is one of the best tour operators I have ever been in contact with! Dianne was so friendly and very helpful when it came to booking the package that suited us best, which ended up being a 3-night safari with accommodation at the Skukuza camp. We chose to fly to Skukuza and upon arriving... More

My wife and I plus my mother-in-law, two sons, my daughter-in-law and her sister and fiance (yes that's 8 of us!) have just returned from a wonderful four night safari in the Kruger National Park arranged by The Other Animals Safaris. Frank and Armand Grobler guided us expertly to some amazing sights. They shared their expert knowledge and experience of... More

Thanks Eckart - it was great having some of my country men and women on safari. Armand and myself had a fun time and we were very impressed with the relatively calm reaction to the huge spider which marched across the dinner table. Although it is harmless and non aggressive it is none the less a fearsome sight. Because it... More

We booked a whole-day Safari with 'The other animal Safari' in February. It was a very great experience! Together with our guide, Sam, we could see all of the Big Five - even before Lunch! The guides were connected by radio and passed on when there was an animal to see. Sam was very friendly and told us some interesting... More

Don't miss a safari with Frank - we had a wonderful time and enjoyed it all the more because of the knowledge and experience of our guide. We saw so much in only one day and wished we could have spent longer.

- This is an open-vehicle safari. The car is brand new and very comfortable for the activity, sun or rain (we got both) it has a maximum comfort, warm rain-proof ponchos are provided, in a hot day the wind of the open vehicle is refreshing. - Recommend to take cameras (you will see and be able to make wonderful photos... Frank goes the extra mile to make sure you experience the true essence of the Kruger. A brilliant guide, steeped in knowledge about the flora and fauna. He has a keen eye for spotting those elusive animals! We did 1 and a half day safaris. Both to completely different areas in the park and we were really lucky to see... More

I am so lucky - you are the second lady who has been on numerous safaris without seeing a leopard and got to see one within hours of the safari starting. I could hardly believe it myself. It is truly a magnificent feeling to be able to be part of an experience like that. Sometimes it really feels like Mother... More

We had the privilege of having Frank as our guide on 3 different safaris. His patience, knowledge & enthusiasm ensured each trip was truly special. He was happy to stop for pictures, take detours and make other adjustments. While he is already a mini-legend in getting to the Big Five 🙂, it's his ability to talk about the smaller animals,birds... Thanks John, it is true that it can be challenging meeting some of our guests expectations regarding wildlife viewing. Planet Earth and NatGeo Wild can give the wrong impression of what one can expect and we tend to forget that those shots we see on our TV screens took months of professional patience and high tech to achieve. It is... More
