About
Allee Bleue is one of the oldest vineyards in the Cape. The estate that was founded in 1690 and covers an area of 135 hectares had not produced a single drop of fine wine in around 100 years, until 1999 when Mr. and Mrs. Dauphin purchased the estate.

Allee Bleue is at the intersection when coming down off Hellshoogte from Stellenbosch to Franschhoek. I don't much like the eucalyptus trees at the entrance (which damage the environment and take all the water) but the Manor House setting is old and gracious. The wine...More

We booked at short notice and were accommodated beyond belief. The estate is peaceful and the accommodation stately. Yes we are alone in the Manor House, which helped with the feeling of prestige. Will definitely return.

We had a large group that went to this winery for a picnic and wine tasting. It was arranged in advance, so we didn't get to pick what we wanted. It didn't matter though, as there was so much food that we couldn't begin to...More

Very friendly staff. Clearly knowledgable about the wine. Not the most picturesque of places to do wine tasting but shop is cute inside and clean. Very good wine and lots of awards won. Definitely worth a visit and purchase

Quiet farm and a very good picnic venue. Get there early to choose a good space. Service level is excellent and the food is healthy and comes in jam bottles. Wine selection is also good. There is a small play area for children but no...More
