The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest in the world, after the Grand Canyon in the US and the Fish River Canyon, also in South Africa. It is truly spectacular and well worth the visit. The potholes never cease to amaze us, with beautiful...More

Blyde River Canyon is a very big one and it offers wonderful views. Among the nicest places that I saw while visiting South Africa, and I think it's a must visit place.

Blyde river canyon nature reserve is absolutely stunning. No words can describe its beauty. One has to enjoy its beauty and freshness in person, no photos can compare it. There is a viewpoint at Three Rondawels , drive into the parking lot and a small...More

Wow, This is truly some of our countries most amazing spots. A must visit for all. A photo just doesn't show it all. Visit and drink in the beauty!

The nature in blyde river canyon is absolutely fantastic, breathtaking. The entrance fees at the different sightseeing spots very reasonable, the people very friendly. The hiking trails are good maintained compared to other regions in SA. S definite must see area.

While I must question the statement that this is the third largest canyon in the world, it is definitely a beautiful canyon. Well worth a stop to rest between Kruger and Jo 'Burg. There are some crafts available here too.

The whole canyon is a spectacle. One of the most beautiful, jaw dropping places I've ever been. Get here on a clear day and you will have the view of a lifetime

Lowveld view and the three rondavel viewpoint provide absolutely stunning views over the canyon. We also did a small hike at the Forever Resort, which was mapped and an easy to follow trail.

A bit of a drive from Graskop, past bourkes luck potholes and not very well signposted. A small fee to get to the landmark and poor parking facilities, the view thankfully made up for the interesting trip. The canyon is at same location as the...More
