With lush forest, hiking trails and rivers and lagoons you could spend a week or two here. We hired kayaks and headed up to a waterfall path for a lovely morning of complete relaxation.

The path is well maintained and you don't have to be an experienced wanderer to make the trip to the waterfall.

Take the Butch and Sundance jump at the Kingfisher waterfall. In SA its called kloofing. Hire a canoe at Eden Adventures and paddle up the Touw river for a few kilometres then walk the trail for a few kilometres more to the waterfall. Take your swimmers and a bit of bottle.

The 7.2km trail (3.6km to the waterfall) is well marked and very well maintained. Easy walk for the whole family and includes a fun ride across the river on the pontoon. The waterfalls are very special and many species of fynbos can be seen growing out the rocks. Highly recommended when the wind and beach become too much.

Wonderful day out hiking in this amazing spot. Trails are challenging yet, time allowed, doable by young children. Walk to the waterfall well worth the time. Unrivalled scenery and a must for nature lovers.

The bird life in the park is excellent. They have good view points within the park. Great walks in the forest.

Plenty to keep you active, hire a pedalo or canoe on the Touw River. Enjoy an eco cruise for an hour and a half, watch the birds that live on and around the river. Camping facilities, day visitor area for picnic or braai
