Relaxed place to stroll take in some amazing trees and plants, see birds, monkeys and stretch the legs. Safe place, safe parking, nice tea and light bites. Family friendly and golf cart tour for the disabled. Trees very mature, stunning and surprising.

Beautiful and safe place for a family picnic. My friends wedding was at the same park and it was beautiful. The place is very clean and kids love it. Lots of interesting areas within the botanic garden

For a photographer, sketcher or artist there is just so much material to work with. The massive old Fig trees, bamboo groves, and the butterfly garden. The pond and the birds, the stunning orchid house and of course the people.

Smaller than I expected, but located in the middle of Durban and so an oasis within a city. Free entry, beautiful lawns, trees and peace. Definitely a must-visit for a summer picnic, next time I visit Durban.
