Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I would describe it as a beer adventure with yummy food.

It’s not a 5 star experience it is so much better. This is as local as you can get with knowledgeable staff who are cheerful and happy to help you make decisions if your not sure.

We did the beer tasting which I recommend before buying a full glass of something. Try something new.

I’d also suggest calling before you go to check if there are any events they where preparing for an all nighter party when we went so we had some DJ music to go with our experience. I loved it.

Secure car parking also available.
A bit of a drive but worth the experience.
Outdoor seating only, so check the weather.

This brewing company is born and bred in Soweto. Heineken has just bought one of their beers but it's the other ones that I loved. There wer 5 in total - draft, ginger beer, Apple beer, cherry beer and the lager (this is the one Heinekin bought). My favs were the ginger and the apple.

We stopped by late in the afternoon. We did a beer tasting and they were all real good....the ginger one was a little different. We then ordered pints of the golden lager and sat and relaxed.

When planning my trip from the States, this spot was a must see on my list. I wanted to experience something a bit off the beaten path and chance at doing something really unique. After a long day at the Apartheid Museum, we hopped an Uber and arrived at the brewery just before closing. We were nonetheless greeted very welcomely and the proprietors insisted on staying open a bit longer for us to enjoy every bit of our experience. We were treated to an awesome tasting and history of the brewery...and their future goals. It was our own private experience since we were the only one's there! The beer was great, the conversations were great, and the service was splendid. Only wish that we had had a bit more time (terrible planning on my part) and that we could have shared the experience with other visitors (I love meeting people from across the world and sharing conversation). Oh well, next time!

We had family visiting from Cape town and on their last day I found this place on the internet. It was really nice, friendly staff and beer that doesn't taste bitter... This is definitely a must see when you in the area and also very close to Vilakazi street, so you can do it all in one day
