Pleasant outing for the family to have a picnic.Young men with trolleys will transport your belongings to your preferred site. Easy walkways through the garden. The kids playing area tends to be taken over by big family groups that leaves no place for "outsiders".

As Joburgers we visit the Gardens at least once a month to photograph birds. The views of the Verreaux's Eagles are spectacular. And a trip to Walter Sisulu always makes for a great day out.

August is probably not the best time of the year to visit this nice botanical garden. It has a good size, well kept and has a nice diversity of plants and trees. The water fall is beautiful and the wild life makes it more interesting.
