My friends and me had an amazing day on the farm from this super sympathetic family MacRae. We were beginners in horseriding but we got very well instructed and we could just enjoy the ride in the game. This is definitely the best opportunity to get close to the animals!! Unfortunately we had an issue with our car but everyone... More

We not only stayed overnight (which is what this review will cover), but we also did the lion walk, which is covered by our review under "Walking with Lions" and is run by the same family/organization and is a MUST DO for anyone in the area. This present review will only address the accommodation, food, atmosphere and people of Horseback... More

Colin and his family were so friendly and welcoming and the lion walk was the highlight of our Africa trip. This is a must do if visiting Pretoria/Johannesburg.

This is a great experience. Brendan is very knowledgable and experienced and a great host. We loved the fact that you are taught horsemanship skills as part of the safari. The horses are all very well behaved and well schooled. As a result this is one of the most enjoyable and relaxed horseback safaris I've been on. We got really... More

Fantastic experience. Being up close with the lions was amazing but more important was to understand their plight and that these beautiful animals are becoming endangered. The fee goes towards conservation work at the park. And an unexpected bonus ... the pizzas for lunch were delicious!

I was a bit skeptical going in as I'm not a fan of animals in captivity, but it was a very good experience. Having a lot of friends who are very prominent in African wildlife conservation, they are extremely critical of conservation and protection efforts in South Africa. The lions bred here are donated (not sold) to game reserves with... More

If you are in the area it is a must go! As a first time rider they made it very easy and helpful to me. The horses were well tamed and followed orders well and were kept in superb conditions while on the ride we had many great spots including being 3m from giraffes. The lions were a fantastic experience... More

Really nice and obliging people, very good horses, marvelous scenery. Although I am an advance rider, they are so organized and helpful that even a novice will have a wonderful time.

I could repeart all of the wonderful things other reviewers have said, but let me cover that by saying it is all true -- it is a great experience. I travel for a living, to very remote and fascinating places, and I loved it here. The young lady working there (sarah?) was very welcoming as was the lady owner. I... More
