Cool off!

A nice place to take a break from the city's bustle. Dive into a natural pool to cool from the summer's heat.

Nkwe is perfect for day visitors. A relaxing day with friends, you can braai, listen to music and swim. It get's really busy on Saturdays so I do recommend getting their as soon as their gates open (I think it is 8am) to get a good spot.

Apart from being a great picnic spot, it is also ideal to use as an informal venue. We decided to have our family day at the picnic spot, and everyone enjoyed it a lot, just remember to pack your swim suits, and for the brave you can jump of the rocks. There are also a campsite for longer stays

We enjoyed the day out with family. The place was a bit overcrowded but everyone was enjoying the day. I think it's a bit pricy per person.

Very neat and well maintained resort. Camping area is well set out and has a wonderful vibe. Swimming in rock pools and various activities to keep family occupied

Nkwe is a stones throw from my house. Very nice picnic spot and braai area and if you are brave enough for a dip in the natural pool. Water from the local river feeding this pool and more inclined to the colder side. Lots of thatch roofed braai areas and overall a nice outdoor setting.

We were rather disappointed with this "resort" : they only accepted cash to pay for the entrance (20 rand below 7 y and 50 rand for 7+ y) ... entrance fee is expensive for what is offered : a shabby parking place, a worn down playground and a swimming grove/ waterfall. Very crowded, even early in the day. People are... More

Great place to have a braai, swim and relax Mainly students on saturday and sunday. Suggest to go early before the hut and good spot get taken Highlight of the resort. If you brave enough, you can jump off the cliff into the pool. Note: Cliff diving at your own risk

It's a wonderful spot to have a picnic and camp. The water is delightful, with a few ledges at varying heights to jump off of.

We clicked on the connecting Google Map and got completely lost! Nkwe has so much potential. The Pools are great, the kids and the young at heart enjoyed jumping off the rocks. The braai's were dirty! So it would be better to take your own. The amount of flies there were absolutely ridiculous. Take lots of food covers. The only... More
