Very beautiful gardens, well designed and in a stunning location. We took our 4 and 2 year old, but they were a bit bored, so would better suit adults who appreciated nature and scenery.

Do visit!! We went early to avoid the crowd and had a wonderful time. Great for pictures! Not expensive and you can have lunch. (We did not; SA is so cheap yet here the prices seemed high)

We love to visit KBG. It's truly one of the most beautiful places on earth. So much to see and do! Always take visitors as often as we can. Also always enjoy the Summer Concerts. Love the No Smoking rule which just makes sense - why ruin a pristine place with cigarette smoke and butts? That said, please consider going... More

The gardens provide a huge contrast to the other side of Table Mountain. This side is wooded, has a different profile and has, at the bottom, these gardens. The boomslang tree walk (included in the price) is very good. There are a few words of warning - necessary when you review the negative reviews here... - It is steep -... More

There was so much to see and experience and so little time to absorb and contemplate. These are highly enjoyable gardens with a variety of gardens within gardens including a "Fragrance Garden" and Braille Trail. Advertised as The Most Beautiful Garden in Africa and one of the greatest botanical gardens of the world, I guess few would disagree. As it... More

Visited here on our last day and just loved the tranquility of the place. Very informative with the differing areas (extinct plants, fragrant plants etc), sculptures, canopy walk etc. The place is littered with families / friends / gatherings having picnics around the park, which just helped the overall relaxed and chilled vibe to the place. Add to the place... More

We joined the free guided tour and it gave us a great introduction to the gardens, which were majestic in February if not at their most colourful.

Loved the combination of African Sculpture in the gardens. A little like getting two tickets in one ! The shaded areas were a welcome sight in the middle of the day.

Beautiful gardens. Incredible diversity of plant life. Excellent mission - preserving South Africa's botanical heritage. Be sure to take the free tour - guides are knowledgeable and interesting.

Botanical garden is a place to brake from city and busy beaches, place of natural beauty on the bottom of table mountain where you can recharge battery for another day in cape town.
