We spent 3 day in the Kruger few days before but we had a hard time trying to find lions. So we went to Rhino and Lion nature reserve looking foward to get close to lions. It worth. It's not a good place to see rhinos giraffes or elephants , but you can see the lions, the wild dogs and... More

Whilst it is worthwhile for a convenient place to view a limited amount of game close to Johannesburg for people that don't have time to go to a proper nature reserve it is no substitute and would recommend if time permitting go elsewhere. We stayed overnight at the Log Cabins. How these managed to obtain a 4 star rating one... More

Got to the park early morning, as we entered the park you could see buck, rhino and buffalo. We went to have a nice breakfast at the restaurant after which we had a drive around doing some game viewing. We went to the caves which was very informative and nice to see. Later we went to the feeding of the... More

One of the best nature reserves in the country, with the guarantee of spotting wildlife. The property is quite bit so there is a lot of opportunity to see giraffe, buck, rhino, buffalo etc. There are some paths that are for 4 x 4 only, so if you own one I would recommend going in it. There are separate enclosures... More

Visit was great Manage to see wild dogs, cheetahs & Lions during feeding times in own vehicle. Interaction with Lion cubs & other infants was great & affordable. Host that assisted us with cubs was great & took us around for telling us about the animals etc. onsite restaurant is available.

Not to far from Johannesburg you will find this place which is part of the Cradle of Human Kind. Although a little artificial, this place is a great experience in a small park and well worth a visit. Have a look at the pictures

If you don't have much time to spend in Johannesburg or in South Africa in general, and you would want to see wild animals freely roaming (or so it seems) in nature, then this park would be the best choice--provided you have a 4x4 or an SUV with you. You could then honestly say you've seen lions and cheetahs in... More
