Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well worth a visit to experience the architecture. There is also a small museum for viewing. Ladies are required to wear a head scarf. No charge to enter. Donation box available

Beautiful mosque. It is definitely worth a visit. It is beautiful, well maintained and clean. The exhibition is also good. However, I wish that the shops were better. They stock very little. The Ottoman restaurant is good.

Wow! This whole complex is impressive! I have been there 8 times already, between April 2021 and October 2022. I am very interested in the mosque and it's architecture because it is Turkish, and it all comes from Turkey, like the carpets etc, and because I love Istanbul, and am planning to move there in 2024. The people of the mosque are very friendly. Ömer with his stunning voice giving an example of the call for prayer, and Behzat who gave us a tour and explained the Islam religion, and culture. The people at the shops were also very friendly, and their food and çay was delicious every single time!

It was one the the best mosque in Johannesburg that I visit. There are plenty of shops to buy books n holy items. Also, there are few restaurant , grocery and clothes shop outside that you can enjoy your time after praying in the mosque.

The replica of the Blue Mosque in Turkey is quite remarkable. Beautiful architecture.
Neat and tidy place with some shops and turkish delights.
So after I visited Turkey I made a point of going to the Mosque.
Brought back happy memories.

It is a nice place to visit. Very clean and organized. The decoration in and outside the mosque are very unique. There are some shops around the mosque in the same compound. There is a barber shop, restaurant, pizza and clothes shop.
You can as well visit these places. It also has nice view in the evenings. They do change the color of the lights in some days.

We stopped for juma namaaz on our return from warmbaths enroute home.
The mosque is built turkish style entirely.
Beautiful architecture and beautiful dome feature inside mosque.
Ladies facility very small and cramped. Stairwells are so dangerous and steep and twisted in style. That too in marble. No access for wheelchair or baby pram. Very makeshift curtain for a beautiful mosque.
The entire cistern fell pff the wall onto my daughter in the women's toilets. These washrooms and toilets kept filthy and no helper visible to assist or keep.area clean
Sadly i will not revisit.

Great Islamic complex with a huge mosque and a few eating areas. Ample parking and great atmosphere. Very similar to the blue mosque in Turkey.

With its four 180-foot minarets and a main dome rising more than 100 feet, the Nizamiye Mosque stands as a beautiful example of Turkish architecture adapted for its place in South Africa. Said to be rhe largest mosque anywhere in the Southern Hemisphere, it is well worth seeing on a visit to Midrand.
