Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory in Houghton on Central street is one of those spaces steeped in historical legacy where documenting and researching in a knowledge think tank is preserved always a work in progress and the archives world renewed.
If you visiting Johannesburg and you have a minimum of two hours make sure you pass by the Center. You may even meet some of the team who work there and spot the ones you see on the TV ect. There is an air of excellence and expectancy and a space created for a global village to partake and share in. A knowledge centre with digital archives and a many special dialogies and conferencing also takes place here.

The Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory is to become a space where visitors can actively engage with Nelson Mandela’s legacy.

Its premises at 107 Central Street in Houghton, Johannesburg, are being transformed into a public facility, interactive archive and venue for dialogue. Entry will be free, and by appointment only as the facility cannot cater to large numbers of visitors at once.

We were heading for Soweto but a thunderstorm struck and the roads were badly flooded, so our guide took us to the Mandela Centre instead.

After a short video, we toured the centre and brushed up our knowledge of various issues and Mandela facts.

It was interesting but not a 'number one, must not miss' experience. The Foundation does good work and this more providing a base for that than a 'wow' experience for visitors.

I've visited a couple of times during exhibition openings. Easy to get to just off the M1. Safe parking. Very informative collection of materials relating to Madiba's history. His office during retirement is still exactly a s it was left.
