Lots of interesting shops--both upscale stores and local crafts--as well as great food and atmosphere. Sunday is the big market and definitely the day to go, especially for lunch.

We've attended awesome movie nights in Maboneng followed with drinks and Jazz. There is so much to do in this lifely area. And the food is awesome.

I was very positively surprised of this very vibrant, interesting and peculiar borough in the heart of Jo’burg. I personally don’t feel safe in the city, but certainly this is a haven of fun and feel good in an otherwise bleak city
