great weekend hiking , lovely views of the city from the top . a leisurely walk . if you have dogs they will also love the space .

After a day out geocaching with the other half, we did the "final" geocache here and he surprised me with a proposal geocache! Ten arks for this beautiful park! I expect it will be lovely in summer!!!

Such a beautiful place for walking and mountain biking but be careful it is notorious for hi jackings. Only use this facility in large groups. Pity its not as safe as it needs to be because it offers spectacular views of Johannesburg.

We attended one of their early Sunday morning walks. The pace was brisk but manageable and the views were worth it.

I suggest you take a tour with a local guide in order for him/her to explain the finer details to you. Apart from the archaeological perspective, it is also a very interesting area botanically.

The eastern part with regulated days of access and guided tours a gem and worthwhile. The western side with open access dangerous due to vagrants.

I went with friends and family expecting a guided tour of the iron age sites only to find that every other Sunday they do a 10km 3hour hike through the whole area. At first we were a little disappointed but ended up exhausted and exillerated....More
