This is a must see in Johannesburg because of the World Cup history. For me one of the few highlights in a terrible city.

If you are in Joburg and can go to an event in the stadium this is a good one. Built for the 2010 Soccer cup, now used for soccer, rugby, concerts etc. Good seating, plenty of rest rooms, and parking available.

We were nervous about security over such a big game - but stadium management was on the ball. Transport was tricky because of so many road closures, but we had a great football night out.

We stopped to take some photos of the FNB Stadium on our guided tour of Soweto with City Sightseeing and we were very impressed with the exterior look of sporting place ! A real nice piece of architecture !

Only visited from the outside, like most big stadia is has a distinct feel - the spaceship look. It is situated a bit away from everything so it does look a little lonely. I imagine on a match day its more imposing.

Our tour group stopped here to take photos and to see a place where some of the more recent South African sporting moments have occurred. It’s a beautiful, somewhat European style stadium, but with a distinct African colour scheme to it.

Our guide Nick stopped for few minuets on our way to Soweto and gave us a brief about FNB Stadium which hosted the opening and closing ceremony of the World Cup 2010. Thank you Nick

Amazing field with space to walk around and good quality food from the street vendors - the soft drinks and cold ones

Visited the exterior of the stadium in the late afternoon. It looks great with the sun reflecting on it but just lacked the buzz of other big grounds despite S.A having just played a match. Perhaps it still feels too new to have that feel...More

One could call this a white elephant, but the mangement company is at least trying to make the investment yield a return. Interesting design and magnitude.
