Although the Constitutional Court is located here, the bigger reason for coming here is Ford Prison. Mandy, our guide from Imbizo Tours was with us for the entire tour. Many had been an inmate of the Prison for 8 months. The stories about this place...More

Our guide (David) was superb. He was knowledgeable, could answer unprepared questions and was enthusiastic. The tour of the Constitutional Court and ghastly prison conditions made the visit worthwhile. The court is simple yet beautiful, filled with meaningful symbolism and art. This is a trip...More

Make sure you get a guided tour so that you don’t miss the philosophy behind the way the court has been designed and the prison trip is both heartbreaking and inspirational.

Must visit in Pretoria. If during the Jacaranda season, a feast for the eyes...in fact thousands of blooming and fragrant trees to enthrall you all over Pretoria and also in Johannesburg (and elsewhere)

Visiting the Constitutional Court was absolutely inspiring. The entire area is full of symbolism. The courtroom with the cattle hides and the beaded flag was beautiful.

Absolute gem where you can lose yourself for hours and hours. My favorite is the Women's old jail. Spend some time in silence in one of the cells

A visit to Constitutional Hill is a visit that every person should take more than once if possible, (whether a tourist or a South African). It’s a harrowing and extremely emotional tour for any visitor and not a tour that should be hurried. The tour...More

I saw a couple of lifts on Con Hill, and most but not all of the doorways have ramps as well as stairs. It's worth seeing, very inspiring, but I'd recommend going with someone who can assist you up and down tough places.
