Not sure why it is Naval as nowhere near the sea. Pleasant drive round the hill via a private game reserve. Saw wildebeest and giraffe. Facilities at top seemed relatively new with monument to Nelson Mandela but very limited facilities other than basic toilets. Did...More

The star gazing auditorium needs more comfortable chairs as the show is abit longer and after 10 minutes the neck muscles get strained.

This is a nature reserve smack in the middle of the city with gorgeous views far and wide. Good the walks and cycling.

The highspot (probably literally) if the city of flowers. Looming over the monstrous melange of concrete and palling, Naval Hill is festooned with radio masts and is about as far from the sea as Oklahoma. Only for the travel writer or truly bored.

We got close up to 3 giraffe grazing on the road, stopped for a Zebra crossing - well, 3 actually joining another 4, saw a herd of Wildebeest and Springbok. Drove up to the viewpoint, had our picture taken with the giant Nelson Mandela statue...More
