The Queen's Fort houses an educational and interesting war museum with tanks, fighter planes, cannons etc. outside provide endless fun for the kids while their parents can rest under a tree.

The museum has succeeded in presenting the SA history from a military perspective in a limited space. Unfortunately some objects were missing (weapons primarily and for safety reasons). The texts should have been modified due to this action.

If you have children and enjoy the military history, this is a must see. It is great fun to walk along the walls of the fort and see where the canons was placed to protect the old Bloemfontein.
