We chose the 2 night Tooth and Claw package with game drive in Addo Elephant Park and were very pleased. Our guide Ty kept our group in stitches the entire time! He was very personable and knowledgeable about the reserve and the animals. We loved seeing the lions up close and watched the lioness and son walk down a hill,... More

Did the 2-night tooth-and-claw package at schotia with my mom and it was superb!!! From arriving until we left everything was well organized, the food was fantastic and accomodation is amazing. Obviously going on the game drives were the best and the Rangers knew where to go and look for the animals and we managed to see everything we wanted... More

One of the best things to do in the Eastern Cape. Highly recommended. Experience of a lifetime, guides have excellent knowledge of the animals and where to look for them when on tour.

Fantastic Safari, highly recommend, our guide was Kurt who was highly knowledgable about the animals. Not sure how big the park is but I would guess 12 square miles, Kurt always found the animals, we saw all the Big5! The whole process of booking, arriving, being welcomed, meals, overnight accommodation etc was all highly professional. Kurt was a fantastic guide... More

We chose to visit Schotia Safaris Private Game Reserve because of it being malaria free, contrary to other national parks such as Kruger. We stayed in this reserve for a combination of 3 games + dinner + night in one of the Orlando Lodge. The visit begins shortly before 3pm for about 3 hours riding in a large and open... More

On arrival we were greeted by a nice cup of tea then loaded onto modified 4 x 4 vehicles that can seat ten - we were lucky as there were only eight on our vehicle, so plenty of room. Our driver 'Robert' took us around the reserve, lots of antelope types - little meerkat animals, giraffes,a little too close to... More

We had a sensational time. We came in the late afternoon and did a game drive and saw fantastic close animal sightings. We stayed in the lodge for 2 nights and went on morning drives early to see the animals and went to Addo Park for several hours to see the elephants and back to our guide for early evening... More

Prepare for a bumpy ride, but it will all be worth it! Fantastic scenery, wonderful tour coming upon beautiful beasts in natural surroundings, witnessing life in the wild as it should be. Getting up close and personal, photo opportunities galore. Excellent facilities and tour guides/drivers. Elephants, rhinos, lions, giraffes, water buffaloes, zebras, hippos, warthogs, the list goes on. We had... More

This is a great place to see South Africa's big 5. Our ranger, Scott, was excellent. Even though this is a very busy reserve, there is lots of space so it doesn't seem crowded. We did an afternoon game drive, stopped for snacks and then went out again. Then it was time for the BBQ. Good food and a chance... More
