this nature reserve is close to Plettenberg bay - we took a taxi to the gatehouse. there are a number of walks of varying lengths, the one to the point and back was a tough, up and down with some scrambling effort but probably the best ever coastal walk we have done . Stunning scenery Highly recommend

Whilst in PLett we wanted to check this place out. Its pretty close to the town and about 40 rand per person to get in which is reasonable. As my wife was pregnant we didn't do the full hike but managed to get down to one of the secluded beaches where we had a nice private picnic lunch. A lovely... More

We chose the shortest route as we were short of time. However on reaching the half way point my wife decided to go walk to the next point which was much further. The walk turned out to be excellent with great views across the bay and of the seals below on the rocks. However it also turned into a more... More

We actually came by to catch a view on some seals. What we became was so most beautiful sunset of our south africa trip so far. We choose the 2-hours walk and were amazed by the white sandy beach - a pity we didn't had our bathing trunks with us.

Robberg nature reserve is a fabulous spot just out of the lovely town of Plettenberg Bay, taking a stroll over the rocks and gazing down at the beautiful Indian Ocean, maybe even see dolphins or an occasional whale. Then return to the well appointed picnic area to relax with a glass of wine and delicious eats and listen to the... More

Unmissable, incredible walk (easy) seal colonies, dolphins, sand dunes, beaches....must one of the most beautiful walks in the area. You absolutely must do it. Tip - paths are very well laid out but covered in sand. I emptied my shoes a dozen times. You dont need big walking boots, I think stop open shoes with solid sole would have been... More

Today was gorgeous- bright warm sun overhead and sparkling clear water all around us. We spent about 3 hrs on the half hike which was rigorous enough for us. The wooden walkways and handrails in strategic places really aided some of the trickier parts of the walk. Loved the barking seals, hundreds of sea birds, & big locusts. Great fun... More

Go all the way round, it might be steep at some points and you might get nervous if going with kids. Lovely views

A simply stunning walk but beware it's much more difficult than it first appears. it took us a good 3 and half hours to get round and bits were quite dangerous with sheer drops. Make sure you take good hiking boots

We loved being here in the mid season when there were less people and we swam in the sea at Witsand after having a picnic on the beach against a rock that provided shade.
