This is a quick stop that gives you a lot of perspective on the mining process. Large equipment and a 1900 foot mine shaft make it fascinating.

I loved how there was a chart that showed how deep the hole was, so scary! Not a very huge site but does have lots of information!

Most impressive here is the chance to lay on your belly over a metal grate and to look down into the mine shaft. Interesting history to read on the interpretative panels.

I really loved Jerome. Audrey Headframe Park is a must visit if you are in town. The walk over the glass platform is an experience! The shaft you stand over is deeper than the Empire State Building is tall!! The mine lifts that are exhibited...More

Great equipment that was surprising still in use to generate power for central AZ until only a few years ago. The local folks have done a good job preserving this corner of history by the museum. Cheers

We couldn’t get on a tour, so we stopped on our own. Very interesting place for a short stop. Go to the museum for more information.

This easily missed bit of history ( because it doesn't look like much ) is what the heart and soul of Jerome was made of. A plexiglass floor covers the mine shaft that goes down 1900 ft so you can stand on it and look...More

Great free stop, donations accepted. Be sure to peer down the old mine shaft. Its amazing to think of going down there to work back in the 1800’s. There’s a place to picnic and also a clean port a potty. So glad this piece of...More

We visited here after the Jerome State historic park. Very cool to think the millions of dollars of copper and all the hardworking miners that used this facility over the many years. Sad to think of the miners that died early deaths because of the...More

Okay, this isn’t a very big park, but it packs a lot of bang for the buck into a small space. The main feature of this historical park is the vertical Audrey mineshaft of the old Little Daisy Mine. This mineshaft is over 1900 feet...More
