And that's not due to the altitude. Seemingly manicured small open plains enclosed by expanses of forests. A drive of promise leading to the spectacular sights from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

We drove through the nation forest to and from the north rim of the Grand canyon. Wildflowers were blooming in July! We saw bison and plenty of deer. It was beautiful

Realize there are limited trails. We found the ones on the north side of the canyon are less traveled.
