Live here in Gilbert for 12 years this is a great place to know about Gilbert history. It is worthwhile to visit and see what made and makes Gilbert one of the best cities here in the East Valley.

This museum tracks the history of Gilbert. Also recognizes many vetern from WW1, WW2, Korea, Viet Nam. They have a display of old farm machinery in the back yard. In the basement a model railroad clubs meets and have set up a nice operating display....More

Stopped in here when exploring Mesa after having lunch. Even though I am not in to quilting there was a lot of other cool things like a Model T and a fire truck. Highly recommend for families with kids.

My family enjoyed the walk through Gilbert history in the original elementary school. It was great seeing things my Grandparents had around and being able to share stories about those items with my family. My youngest went on and on after we left about everything....More

Spent about two hours going thru the museum. Found it quite interesting especially that now we live in Gilbert. Nice to learn about different folks that made an important part of Gilberts past. I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in the past

The Gilbert Historical Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
