We loved the Queen Mine tour. You get plenty of time in the museum to see the models and artifacts, but the trip into the mountain was the highlight. Be sure to wear sleeves and long pants due to the 47 degree temp inside the...More

This was such an interesting tour! We spend our winters in Arizona, and you always hear references to the mining history of the state, but this tour really helps you see it close up. They outfit you with safety equipment including hard hats, miners lights,...More

This is a very authentic experience as it was a REAL mine and you are outfitted in safety equipment before you enter including a brass numbered tag you sign for. You also ride the same tram into the mine that the miners would have rode....More

We took both our adult sons and our 13 year-old grandson on this tour. They found it exciting and enjoyed riding the train down into the mine. The guide was retired from working the mine and was very knowledgeable..I would highly recommend it.

While the mine was interesting and the tour guide was knowledgeable, I found the size of the group a bit off putting. The mine tunnels are naturally narrow and the group was too large for everyone to see/hear the guide as he described the tools...More

Hi The stairs are optional, 36 steps up and down. If a person choses not to do the stairs a staff member waits with them and talks about other thing about the mine.
