Went on the mine tour. Totally worth it. Fascinating history given by a man who mined here!!! We made reservations and we were surprised how full the tour was on a Monday! It was cool in the mine but not cold. Layers. Worth a look!

Nice place to visit, hard hat, mining light, you ride a mini train to go deep inside the mountain, guided tour, where they show u old mining methods, and tools. The gift shop is great, moderate prices.

Hi The stairs are optional, 36 steps up and down. If a person choses not to do the stairs a staff member waits with them and talks about other thing about the mine.
