The platforms, especially the lower blind, enable easy watching and close photography of the bears meandering the hillside and fishing in the creek. The creek with its moss covered rocks and trees is particularly beautiful and an excellent backdrop for bear watching and photography.

Well worth a visit. Got to see the bears up close including bear cubs with their mums. A great place to observe the bears catching and gorging themselves on the abundance of salmon. A must see whilst in Wrangell.

We arrived on a boat tour from Wrangell - about 45 minutes one way. There are several tour operators in town offering basically the same tour, you should choose based on availability on your dates and the overall time spent... More

Peak season in Anan starts in early July. I believe you can find tours going there in July but not sure what will be your chances to see nears on the creek if the salmon is not running. I suggest you consult with the local... More
