This is a great place to learn about the Iditarod and the dog races. The history behind the making of the teams and their sleds. Joe Redding Sr the Father of the races. a great man and his journeys are worth the visit.

The Iditarod Headquarters is an excellent Alaskan opportunity to learn about Alaskan sled dogs, the history of the Iditarod, and you can even take a short dog sled ride (for a small fee).

Yes the cost was 10.00 it was a cool ride not very long however it was an experience you could feel the amazing dogs power and they really wanted to run..
