I have been blessed to have flown out here a few times in a helicopter over the past couple years to see the changes that are happening. This glacier recedes at an alarming rate. The beaches I landed at last summer are now under water. I have also sea kayaked out here and taken a boat trip out here also.... More

Left from Valdez through Prince William Sound to the Colombia Glacier. Good time to go, end of June with a lot of ice melting and able to get very close to the Glacier. Didn't realise how cold it was as we approached the Glacier area since in shorts on a warm day. Apart from the marvel of the glacier plenty... More

I visited this on a day trip out of the Valdez harbour and the Cpt got us so near you could hear the glacier creaking as it was melting, what an experience

You just be there at the dock office an hour before your sail time to receive your boarding pass, board, and receive their safety briefing. My review can be found for Stan Stephens.

This glacier is amazing! Such great color and lots of calving. The icebergs in the water make for a good photo op. Took the Stan Steven cruise out there. Worth every penny!

We were able to get within a mile of Columbia Glacier and it seemed as if we were right in front of it. Because of calving the cruises are not able to get any closer. We were able to enjoy the icebergs with their brilliant blue color that were a result of the calving.

A must see. We took the Stan Stephens tour and were super impressed. The magnitude of a glacier can only be described as wow!!! You have to see it to experience the power of nature. Go see a glacier....by any means necessary.

I've visited Columbia Glacier three times, by day cruise, 1- and 3-day kayak trips. Today's day cruise covered the same long route as the 3-day kayak trip and it passed the final pickup points of both previous kayak trips. I enjoyed them all and each trip was different. The 1-day Anadyr kayak trip and today's Stan Stevens day cruise were... More

My wife and I joined a cruise with Stan Stephens Cruises during our 2 night stay in Valdez on our escorted 'Natural Wonders of Alaska' tour with Titan Travel. We went on the 7 hour Columbia Glacier Cruise on their 80 foot cruiser Glacier Spirit which can accommodate 149 passengers and has a maximum speed of 17 knots. It’s a... More

We spent most of the summer traveling Alaska and this day trip was the highlight for me. The boat is large enough and well appointed to be comfortable yet small enough to get really close to the glacier. The captain (Fred) has some incredible boat handling skills and his narrative on the trip was both informative and entertaining. We saw... More
