You must not drive past Wal Mikes! He was born in my home town! Take lots of pictures, you won't be able to describe it without them. People will not believe you!!

Stopped due to the name. Very interesting and entertaining owner. He has items from current to well beyond my years. Everything from novelties to toys to kitchen wear to car parts and heating stoves. Well worth the stop and time spent.

Definitely worth a stop! At a minimum the photos inside and outside the store are keepers given how unique, rustic, colorful, and busy all the items inside and outside the store are. Browsing the shelves in the store is cool as many of the items are pretty random and one-offs.

We saw this store on our way to Denali and had to stop on the way back. The first thing we noticed walking in was the human hand in a jar on the counter. The owner told us it was her husband's ex wife (Hence the wedding ring on the finger). From there on out it was quite the experience.... More

This is one place that should be a requirement to live in Alaska. It's the greatest most senic place in Alaska. It's only 115 miles north of Anchorage on the Parks Hwy located in a small beautiful community of Trapper Creek. The people that run it Wal-Mike and his wife are great. Their kind and Mike will give you all... More

Lots of cool, interesting and simply weird stuff to look at both inside and out. Guy behind the counter (? Mike) lit a cigarette - that cut my visit short. Didn't buy anything and did see some of the same items elsewhere for a lot less money. Definitely worth a look around though. Some very wacky stuff. Asks for money... More

We stopped at this interesting shop/museum. Both my son and I were impressed by the hidden gems here. Mike himself is a friendly guy with a lot of stories to share. My sons sunglasses broke and he repaired them at the spot ! We browsed through the unique items and had a lot of fun.
