The park itself is a small park like an ordinary children's park in the city. The park itself cannot be called a tourist spot, but I thought it would be nice to stop by the nearby facility that commemorates Dr. Takamine and reflect on his achievements.

高峰譲吉氏の生家跡といわれている公園です。

高ジアスターゼの発明などで有名な高峰譲吉氏の生家跡といわれている公園です。
すぐ近くには高岡郵便局、旧電報電話局(NTT跡)などがあり商業の町、昔の高岡がとても繁栄していた文化都市と感じられる場所です。
この公園は普段は誰も利用もしていないただの公園なのですが、5月1日の高岡御車山祭の際には山車の休憩所としても利用されています。
ここでは見物客もほとんどいないので御車山をゆっくりとみられる穴場の公園でもあります。
また現存する富山銀行本店や土蔵造りの商家など明治期の建物も近くにあるので関心がある方は行ってみたらよい公園です。

高峰譲吉博士

高岡駅から徒歩１０分くらいのところにある公園です。土蔵造りの町並みで有名な山町筋の近くです。この公園は、「カタジアスターゼ」の発明、「アドレナリン」の結晶化で有名な高峰譲吉博士の生家跡地です。顕彰碑、高峰博士の胸像、説明書などがあります。薬学、化学、歴史に興味がある方にお勧めのスポットです。
