The temple was about 15 minutes walk from the south gate of JR station and there were sufficient signage to direct you the right way to go. Entrance fee of Yen 500 was required in order to have a view on all the halls inside....More

The temple in the flatland reminds me of going catholic church. Truly a magnificent peace of Japan's cultural treasure.

It will be faster to walk from the shin-Takoaka station to this temple as the local train do not seem to be so frequent (I think it about one very 45 minutes) there are some sign which traveller can follow if you choose to walk...More

Zuiryu-ji is located near Takaoka station,about 12 min. by walk.Very quiet and holly place made me feel released.Especially,my favorite place is Zazen space,where smelt cider wood,appriate for concentrating mindfullness. 瑞龍寺は高岡駅から歩いて12,13分ほどのところにあります。鎌倉時代のお寺で大変質素でありながら、静かで心休まる空間です。坐禅の部屋はヒノキの香りが漂っていて、とても集中できそうです。

Commissioned by Maeda Toshitsune, 3rd Lord of Kaga-han, in honour of his brother, Maeda Toshinaga, the 2nd Lord (the founding lord was Maeda Toshiie), and built in the 1650s, Zuiryūji Temple was designed by architect Yamagami Zenemon Yoshihiro.
