Walked here one afternoon from the Hotel Maitai Polynesia, a 10 minute walk away. The beach was spectacular, the colours of the water were amazing and the water was so shallow. What my wife and I didn't like was the 'characters' hanging around the washroom...More

This beach is gorgeous and completely calm. The waters are turquoise and it faces the setting sun. Lovely place to swim during the day and enjoy sunsets at night. There are several restaurants that overlook this beach which provide both inexpensive snacks and/or fancy dinners....More

Beautiful beach that has the best view of the sunset dipping below the horizon. Short walk from the Moana and other hotels on the southern points of the island.

Absolutely wonderful white sand and turquoise clear water where you can see colorful fishes and stingrays so take you snorkel mask for swimming under water. There are some restaurants around with delicious local delicacies and Hinano. My favorite. Highly recommend!!!!

This is a wonderful beach on Bora Bora, also I think the only beach. We had a great time grabbing some beers in the little restaurant by the parking lot and running along the water. Great for some people watching too (both locals and tourists).

After we did our 4x4 adventure tour, we were told to definitely check out this beach. This is the only public beach on Bora Bora and it is just a short taxi ride from the marina. There are two restaurants on the beach for a...More

small, public beach. Signage not obvious. Most beautiful beach I've been to. No amenities outside of a public restroom.

We stayed right next door to Matira Beach and walked the beach several times. It's a great place to find calm, shallow water for swimming, but there's not much to see for snorkeling. It's also a great place for sun bathing closer to Matira point....More

Actually it’s quite far by foot, almost 10 km. You’ll need to take a taxi or rent a bike from Avis rental car just across the street from the dock.
